Mars is red

Our planet is blue

Lee’s up for the challenge

And so are you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cramming each science episode full of new and interesting scientific facts and cool experiments are all in a day’s work for SCOPE’S new science guru – Lee Constable.

Lee was born on a sheep farm in Galong; New South Wales.  Growing up there it was hard not to gain an interest in the relationship between humans and their environment.   So started the fascinating journey for this young science expert.   Armed with a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Arts and an honours in Biology, and always up for a ‘chat’, Lee pursued her passion for communicating about science and the environment when she took up the role as an Education Ranger at the Australian National Botanic Gardens.  Torch in hand, her fave thing about the job was leading groups and dropping in on the nocturnal creatures that called the Gardens their home.

Furthering her science communication skills while receiving a Master of Science Communication Outreach, Lee toured remote and regional Australia performing live science shows for schools and communities with the Questacon Science Circus.

Lee is funny and friendly with a quirky personality. Who else would dye their hair blue to celebrate one of her favourite scientist, Isaac Newton, who studied the visible spectrum to count blue as one of the primary colours!
