One of Australia’s most versatile and accomplished actors, Linda Cropper has a string of film credits to her name. They include Fool’s Gold, the award-winning Little Fish, Teesh And Trude, Blackrock, Passion and Envy. Linda also appeared in the US indie feature With You Or Without You.
On the small screen, Linda has appeared in many television dramas: Steven Spielberg and Tom Hank’s mini-series The Pacific, Rake, Old School, Redfern Now, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Dream Life, Satisfaction, McLeod’s Daughters, Answered By Fire, Palace of Dreams, Bordertown, Ring of Scorpio, Wildside, Water Rats, White Collar Blue, Children of the Dragon, Eden’s Lost, Farscape and Melba, for which she played the title role and was nominated for a TV Week Silver Logie Award.
Linda has appeared in all five series of Network Ten’s award winning Offspring. Her telemovies include Little White Lies, The Perfectionist and The Seventh Floor.
Renowned for her theatre performances, Linda most recently performed in Belvoir’s Elektra Orestes and Nora. She also appeared in the Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of Ghosts as well as the national and New Zealand tour of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, Griffin Theatre’s And No More Shall We Part and in Darlinghurst Theatre’s The Importance Of Being Earnest.
Linda appeared in Simon Phillip’s co-production of Poor Boy for the Melbourne Theatre Company and the Sydney Theatre Company. Her portrayal of Lady Macbeth in Bell Shakespeare’s Macbeth captivated audiences and drew widespread critical acclaim. Other productions with Bell Shakespeare include Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night, As You Like It and Hamlet. Linda’s numerous Sydney Theatre Company productions include Arcadia, A Month In The Country, Top Girls, Chinchilla, The Mortal Falcon, Nicholas Nickleby, Loot, As You Desire and Secret Rupture.
