The Secret Life Of 4 Year Olds

Prepare yourself; these way-too-cute moments will warm your heart!

This year, we were blessed with a special insight into the minds of 4 and 5-year-olds, as they said goodbye to their parents and hello to the playground. There was laughter, tears and even a few tantrums here and there, but we’ve narrowed it down to the top 5 most adorable moments of the season…

"Accidents" Happen

Ryan, Flynn and Amelia were faced with a tantalising red ribbon which could unleash a floating balloon full of surprises. The oh-so-tempting balloon proved to be too much for the kids, as a bit of peer pressure and excitement “accidentally” caused the balloon to erupt.

Magician In The Making

It was time for Show and Tell, as the 4-year-olds brought in something special from home to share with the class. The room was full of excitement, but it was Flynn who had a ball, a bag, a wand, and a cheeky trick up his sleeve. The audience were more than impressed with his trickery!

Love Letters

There was lots of love in the classroom as the 5-year-olds were encouraged to write to each other the old fashioned way. The children shared many messages of love, including playdate offerings, and of course Max’s heartfelt written apology to Sadie and Archie.

What On Earth Is This?

The 5-year-olds were given the task of identifying some curious and outdated objects in the classroom. Using their wisdom and life long experience (or perhaps, their wild imagination), the kids confused tape recorders for cameras, and floppy disks for tiny televisions!

Little White Lie

Sometimes, a little white lie is needed. In this instance, some 5-year-olds thought this was the best option when they pretended to enjoy Sarah’s way-too-salty jelly cups. Whilst some weren’t afraid to express their distaste, others thought it would be best to fake a smile so that they didn’t hurt Sarah’s feelings.
