Sydney grandmother found dead in home

A man hunt is underway after a grandmother was found dead at a home in Sydney’s west.

Police located the 67-year-old woman’s body at a home on Chesterfield Road in South Penrith at about 10.45am on Wednesday, after concerns were raised for her welfare.

She had reportedly failed to turn up to the Penrith RSL for bingo earlier this week, which she normally frequented.

A post mortem examination is being conducted to officially determined the cause of her death, but it is being treated as suspicious.

Police recovered the woman’s vehicle, a red 2009 Subaru Impreza, which was initially missing from the crime scene on Wednesday.

They are forensically examining the car, and have also reportedly seized a silver car from a relative’s home.
