The paper also reported that a hotel guest called ‘000’ after members of the group reportedly found the woman collapsed in the shower.
Emergency crews arrived just before 8 o’clock yesterday morning, but could do nothing to revive the woman.
News Corp also reported that Police spent the day at the Oaks Apartment, which was one of three in the building booked by the bucks group. Another witness told the paper she saw one of the men being led from the building in handcuffs by Police but was not resisting.
The group of men were believed to have attended the Geelong-Hawthorn game on Saturday evening, before attending Inflation Nightclub’s Cloud Nine until 3am Sunday morning.
Police were trying to establish whether the woman had been known to the men, and if she had consumed drugs and alcohol. They are now reviewing the hotel’s CCTV.
