Cranbrook School boy accused of raping drunk teen girl

A teenage girl was raped by a boy, allegedly from the country’s most exclusive private school, only to learn of her horrific assault after footage was posted on social media.

The accused rapist is said to be a student at Sydney’s prestigious Cranbrook School.

Police say the alleged assault occurred after the girl fell asleep at a party in Bellevue Hill, in Sydney’s east, on March 4.

A friend of the accused attacker filmed the incident on his mobile phone before posting it online.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Cranbrook School is believed to have alerted authorities after the footage was seen by at least 50 students, about 12 days after the attack.

“Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of students,” a Cranbrook spokesman said.

Yesterday a 15-year-old boy appeared in Glebe Children’s Court charged with filming a young person committing a sexual act on another young person without their consent, producing child abuse material on his mobile phone and distributing that material on social media.

The teenager, who attends Rose Bay Secondary College in Dover Heights, agreed to an AVO which orders him not to approach the schoolgirl victim or go anywhere near her school, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Meanwhile it is believed the alleged attacker no longer attends the Cranbrook School.

According to the Daily Telegraph he is meeting with authorities today.
