It’s been one hell of a year for US Drama on Ten, but believe it when we say next year is going to be even better. With edgy new crime shows, side-splitting comedy, and a drama that will really tug on the heart strings, the 2017 schedule is bound to incite a few fights over the remote.

It was the 2016 breakout series in the US that everyone raved about, This Is Us, a tale about a group of people whose life stories intertwine in surprising ways. From the writers and directors of Crazy, Stupid, Love, this smart, modern series stars Mandy Moore (A Walk To Remember), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) and Sterling. K. Brown (The People V. O.J. Simpson). Refreshing, honest and provocative, this is the kind of series that will challenge your everyday assumptions about the people you think you know.

Fans of the action-thriller 24 will be eager to delve into the classic series’ new spin-off – 24: Legacy. After leading a mission to assassinate a terrorist leader, US military hero Eric Carter returns home to find that he and his squad are being hunted by assassins. While trying to evade his would-be killers, Carter must stop one of the largest terrorist attacks on American soil. Staring Corey Hawkins (The Walking Dead, Straight Outta Compton) and Australia’s Miranda Otto (The Lord Of The Rings, What Lies Beneath), 24: Legacy promises to be on-the-edge-of-your-seat stuff.

Michael Weatherly fans shall weep no more when the former NCIS star returns to screens in Bull. Inspired by the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw – then the founder of one of the most prolific trial consulting firms of all time – Weatherly plays Dr. Bull, a brash and charming puppet master who combines psychology, human intuition and high-tech data to learn what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick. Also starring Freddy Rodriguez (Six Feet Under) and Geneva Carr, Bull is one of the biggest new hits in US television.

Golden Globe winner Matt LeBlanc (Friends, Episodes) stars in Man With A Plan as Adam, a contractor who starts spending more time with his kids when his wife Andi goes back to work after 13 years as a stay-at-home mother. When he discovers the truth every parent eventually realises – his little angels are devils in disguise – with Andi’s encouragement and advice from some equally stressed parents, Adam takes charge of his brood and decides he is going to “nail” this job.

Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy, Knocked Up) will be owning the courtroom when she stars as Sadie Ellis, a brilliant attorney who falls for her charismatic client. The catch? He’s accused of murdering his girlfriend 24 years ago. Putting her career and happiness at risk, Sadie needs to prove reasonable doubt to save him, even if she has some herself. Also starring Elliott Gould (Ocean’s Eleven, Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice) and Laverne Cox (Orange Is The New Black), Doubt is a mystery not easily solved.

Along with a stellar selection of new shows, Ten’s 2017 line-up includes new seasons of continued favourites, such as the most-watched television series in the world – NCIS – plus NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, the acclaimed and multi-award-winning Modern Family, Law & Order: SVU, Madam Secretary and Life In Pieces. As well as UK hits The Graham Norton Show and new series and specials from Sir David Attenborough and Jamie Oliver.
