Sport Presenter - 10 News First Brisbane
Jonathan Williams is the Sport Presenter for 10 News First Brisbane. Passionate about all sports, in particular, rugby and rugby league, Jonathan has been a sports reporter at 10 for nearly a decade.
Jonathan began his career in television news in 2003 in Cairns, and worked throughout Queensland regional towns gaining valuable experience before joining the 10 News First team in 2007 as sports reporter.
In addition to his sport reporting role, Jonathan was the sport presenter for 10’s weekend and 6.30pm news before taking up the role of nightly 10 News First sports presenter in August 2012.
Jonathan has covered countless State of Origin and NRL finals campaigns. In 2011, he was the Network’s correspondent for the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand and was also a part of 10’s Delhi XX Commonwealth Games team.
Jonathan’s love of sport started from an early age. Growing up on the Sunshine Coast, Jonathan was a keen surfer and rugby league player with a strong interest in rugby union, AFL, cricket, golf and martial arts.
As a self-confessed sports tragic, Jonathan is living his dream job.
Jonathan is a doting father to his two young children Archie and Zara.
